Pastor Frank Strickland

Frank grew up in the small town of Belton, South Carolina. He played football for Newberry College, Newberry, South Carolina, graduating in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education. It would be twelve years, however, before beginning his preparation for being a minister. Frank attended Erskine Theological Seminary in Due West, South Carolina, receiving a Masters of Divinity degree in 1994. Before coming to Walhalla and Bethel Church in September 2000, he worked for S.K. Busby Nursery in Anderson and Tri-County Tech’s maintenance department in Pendleton.

Frank and his wife, Michele, were married in 1992 while he was attending Erskine Seminary. Michele is a life-long educator and teaches the fifth grade at Blue Ridge Elementary in Seneca. In 2002 they adopted their beautiful daughter, Leah. They all love animals and have two female rescue dogs, Waffles and Willow.

I treasure my time of Worship at Bethel Presbyterian Church. I always take away something incredible from Pastor Frank’s message .
