Solar Eclipse Event

On Monday, August 21st of this year, Bethel Presbyterian Church will fall under the path of a TOTAL solar eclipse.  It has been nearly forty years, February 26, 1979, since a total eclipse visible from any part of The United Sates last occurred.  The August eclipse will be the first with a narrow path of totality crossing coast-to-coast since 1918.  The church grounds offer plenty of green space for an unimpeded view of the sky.  The eclipse begins about 1 pm and ends about 4 pm with totality occurring for about 2 1/2 minutes at 2:38 pm.  Those interested in viewing the eclipse are welcome to gather at the church.  Restrooms will be available.  Bring a lawn chair and viewing glasses and be part of this historic event.
