"Souper Bowl History"  Twenty-two Columbia churches participated that first year, in 1990, raising $5,700 to send to area non-profits.  Since then, the ministry has generated an extraordinary $118 million for soup kitchens, food banks and other charities in communities across the country.  In 2016, $10.5 million in cash and food items were collected.
